Birthday Wishes

Hello!

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I found some time to make a few cards for both Cas-ual Fridays challenges for this month.  The encouragement challenge is amazing.  If you don't know why it happens each month, be sure to check it out.

I used 4 petals for my card and Birthday Wishes die.  Birthday wishes came from a Stamp of Approval box, which I thought was Cas-ual Fridays, but I could be wrong.  I chose to do a Birthday Wishes, because someone who has made it to their next birthday, has a blessing.  Birthdays are never promised, so celebrate each one!  Life is short.

More than you know

Hello!  Thank you so much for stopping by.

It has been a crazy long time since I blogged... I remember how much I love to do challenges, so I came to the Cas-ual Fridays blog and jumped in.  This challenge is a fun and adorable one.  Who doesn't love a rainbow!

I used the stamp set Be for my project.

The quote in this stamp set is a quote everyone needs to remember.

I miss you

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by

This week I am participating in the Cas-ual Fridays Tic Tac Toe Challenge.
I could have went many different ways in this challenge.  The board was amazing to work with.  In the end, I went with Butterflies, Add a tag and texture.

I decided to dig out my stencils to see what I had.  I definitely do not use them enough.   I came across a TCW Stencil and knew it was my golden ticket.  I then took Faber Castell whipped spackle and mixed a reinker from Cather Pooler Designs.   If you have reinkers, put them to use!  I hoard them, but also need to get them used even more.

To put the final touch on my card, I got out my Tim Holtz tag die set.   From Cas-ual Fridays, I used I Miss You from the Calm and Gentle stamp set (embossed in white).

I entered this card into the Cas-ual Fridays challenge:  Tic Tac Toe

Thanks!

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by

Today I want to share a card I made with the Candy Cane Collection, from Catherine Pooler's Stamp of Approval.  I used the candy cane background (this is so incredibly versatile and can be used all year long) and Merry Labels from the Candy Cane Lane Collection.  It also includes Thanks from the Lovely Notes collection.

I can not say enough about the Stamp of Approval boxes.  There are a ton of possibilities with each box.    A new box is usually released each quarter.  I'm always excited to see what the next box will bring.

This card is fairly simple!    I embossed the candy cane background die in purple..  Added the ribbon (which really does match in person).  I offset this and popped it up with some foam tape.

I then stamped the thanks, which looks absolutely cute and hand painted..

Thanks for looking!  I am entering this into the challenge at Catherine Pooler's website for a chance to win the next Stamp of Approval Collection!

You are my Hero

Hello!  Thank you so much for stopping by

Today is the 17th of April and that means a self breast check is on the orders for today!  Please do not take it lightly and remind a girlfriend!

Cas-ual Fridays Stamps, on the 17th of each month has several card makers who remind the public to do a self breast exam.  This is saving lives and women have found lumps through our reminders.

Please stop by the Cas-ual Fridays Stamps blog here.  There is going to be some excited news announced, so please be sure to stop by.

I created an artistic card for this month.  I also veered from the 'pink' breast cancer theme because to me purple is a happy color.  You are my hero came to life pretty quick.

I first took 4 petals Fri-die and cut 3 of each size.  I then took a dauber and colored with Distress Oxide ink edges.   With  the color Tierra (from Catherine Pooler), I took my pinky finger and put a dab of yellow on the center.  Then with glue I placed a small dot and used prills.  I set these aside to dry.

While that was drying, I took some watercolor paper from Tim Holtz and with purple color I simply just randomly made a spot 3 flowers would fit.  I was a tiny bit impatient, so I took my heat gun to the purple to help speed the drying time.

I then took So Pretty from Cas-ual Fridays Stamps and with Distress Oxide and my MISTI stamped You are my Hero.  This is the perfect sentiment for so many occasions.

To finish the card, I cut purple cardstock to mat the white cardstock.  The card is a standard A2 size card.

Rainbow of Thanks

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Cas-ual Fridays Stamps challenge, Rainbows.

I had a general idea of how I wanted this card to come together.  I first took the 4 petal Fri-die and colored with a dauber, the edges of each in Catherine Pooler inks.  I took my pinky and with the color Tierra, dabbed the center.  I then glued each flower together.  I used prills for the center of each flower to give it some interest.

I then took Thank you from So Pretty stamp set and stamped this on the bottom right corner.  I used my MISTI because I wanted a dark impression and the MISTI allows you to stamp as many times as you'd like in the same spot.

I'd like to say this is a pretty CAS card.  For me, this is a very simple 'almost' one layer card.  The outcome is just what I had in mind.

This card is entered into the Rainbow challenge at Cas-ual Fridays Stamps blog here.
