Rainy Day with Digi Stamp

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by
Today I want to share a FREEBIE (this week only) digi stamp from Craftin Desert Divas.  You can find it here
I tried coloring with Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens.. so the ENTIRE card is glitterfied... but a photo does not pick that up.. I have had the Spectrum Noir sparkle pens for a few months now and was truthfully scared to use them, LOL.  So I went to YouTube and on the Crafters Companion channel I found the perfect video.  I used the pens like water colors with the purple and clear sparkle.  Even the backgrounds are the same pens.  It's amazing what they can do and in person, these look outstanding.  I so wish the picture would pick that up.
I cut the Rainy Day girl out with my Brother Scan N Cut.  Can I just say this machine is a lifesaver.. unless of course you like to fussy cut.
The clouds, droplets and puddle came from Cricut.
The small flowers are from Concord & 9th and are so adorable.

The water spashes and sentiment came from Rain or Shine at Craftin Desert Divas.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope this has sparked some creativity.

Happy Easter

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by.
I started off my project with purchasing a 9x9 shadow box.  I then went to the dollar store to purchase my grass and 'real' eggs.
I took the Happy Easter Egg die and cut in pink.

I then placed my egg die cut in with the grass

After I had everything in place being very careful I placed the backing to the shadow box and what a beautiful masterpiece.  I had this idea in my mind for quite a while.  The Easter Egg die is so versatile.  It can be used in so many different ways.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope this had given you a creative spark to craft!

Color Throwdown Challenge #384

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by
Have you tried a color throwdown challenge?  This is my 2nd challenge and I feel the challenge!  Try one out!  At Color Throwdown they host a weekly challenge!
Here is the color pallet you had to work with
I took the Morning Glory background stamp from The Ton Stamps and embossed it with Brutus Monroe embossing ink and Alabaster powder .. I just love Brutus Monroe products.
I then took my Zig Clean color brush markers and my water pen and colored away.  I wanted more of the water color look.  To add the finishing touch I used Memory Box butterfly dies and my Spectrum Noir red berry glitter brush.
Here is my final project!  I felt like it needed a word or sentiment, but after placing different ones various places I decided not to place one on the front.  It is on the inside of the card.

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
Today I want to share a card that I made for a color/photo challenge from Craftin Desert DivasThis was my first ever color challenge and I felt the challenge for sure.   If you have never tried one, I challenge you!   Here is the color pallet to work with!
The card itself holds TONS of layers.  The Fancy Frames from Craftin Desert Divas is probably one of my most favorite purchases.  I use these dies non stop.
I picked up some Bristol watercoloring paper from Michaels this past week.. There was a wicked sale so I decided to get out my Zig Markers for this project.  While I still need practice, I do love these markers.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Simple cards

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by
Today I want to share a few cards I made using water color and Concord & 9th goodies.
I used the Floral & Flutter die set for these cards.  This set is STUNNING in person.  I am so excited to use it on so many projects.
I also used stamps from Sophisticated Script, Grateful and Tree Hugs.
I used Tim Holtz watercolor paper.  These squares are handy as you don't need to cut them.  They are also a GREAT quality and thick.
I took my pearlescent water colors and just randomly placed them sideways.  I had envisioned what I wanted and the look I was going for.  Next time, I would leave more room for where ever I will be stamping.  I think the stamped word looks better on plain white and not on the water color.  I used my MISTI to stamp most of them and thankfully because it needed a few layers over the watercolor.  I used Brutus Monroe detail ink form my stamping.
I then took my die cuts and placed them over the watercolor and used flat back pearls for the center of my flowers.  I mainly used white cardstock, but after these I experimented with colored card stock and it adds that little punch.
Happy Crafting!
I hope this sparked some creativity

Happy Birthday and SVG Files

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by
Today I am so incredibly excited to say that Craftin Desert Divas has released SVG cut files for the Shop Cutie collection.  If you have a cutting machine, this should make you extremely happy!   It is so super simple to use SVG's with my Cricut Explore.
So first I saved the SVG file to my computer and extracted that zip file.  Logged into my Cricut Design Space I went to start new project and then upload.  You can upload many different types of files, but I love SVG's because the layers are given for you.  All of the work is done.. You just need to resize the project and simply cut!
I decided to raise my stars on the candy bar with foam.  I love dimension so this fit right in.  I also distress inked the squares of the chocolate bar to give it a slightly different chocolate look.
So after I had all of my pieces cut I assembled my little candy bar shop cutie to get the idea how I wanted her.  I then make my card base which included my most favorite die set ever from Craftin Desert Divas... Fancy Frames.  Adding Happy Birthday from Bring on the Cake stamp set and embossed this with Brutus Monroe Alabaster powder.. BTW it is a gorgeous pure white..   Topped it off with some sequins .. perfect CUTE card!

Shadow Box Rolled Flowers

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by
I am on a shadow box roll!  The rolled flowers from Cricut design space are tough to stop making.  While they take a bit of practice.. you can get into a pattern and put out quite a few.  It is time consuming.. at least for me..
This shadow box I was in a toss up for placing a monogram letter or This Too Shall Pass.  I chose the This too shall pass.  The font is amazing.. it came in a package I purchased and so love this font.
I cut my flowers at little over 5 inches.. I wanted to be able to fit 2 flowers on my 8.5 x 11 paper.
I hope you try the rolled flowers from design space!

Happy Easter

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by.
Creating Spring cards can be so fun!  I love bright fun colors and that is what Spring has to offer.   New life.. new beginnings... which leads into my favorite SUMMER!
I started off by taking my card base and using distress inks to make my sky color.  I wasn't incredibly particular about this because I knew I'd have some layers over top.  I then took my Grassy Hills from My Favorite Things and cut two layers.  I used foam dots for my top layer to add that dimension.
I took the Nesting Flower die from Die Versions and  die cut blue.  I did two different colors because no two clouds are ever the same.  Once you have the flower cut simply take your scissors and cut in half.  You can do many different sizes clouds with the flowers.  I always try to add dimension to my cards.  The top cloud I added some foam pieces to make it raised .  Don't be afraid to add some dimension!
I then cut out the GORGEOUS Happy Easter egg die.  This die cut out is stunning.  I traced the egg on white and cut that with my Brother Scan N Cut for my layer behind the egg.   I was going to add glitter and such to the egg, but truthfully it is so beautiful I decided not to take away from the die cut.
I topped of the card with Sunny Skies die from My Favorite Things and added a few flowers from the Painted Thank you from Concord & 9th.
I hope this has inspired you to be crafty!

Because of the Brave

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by
In a Facebook group I belong to, they were sharing these rolled flowers made from Cricut Design Space.. So needless to say I went to design space and started to play.  It took a few trial and error flowers to get the hang of it.
This will be your starting flower.  There are many different flowers to choose from.  For my shadow box, I chose to use 8 inch flowers.  They roll up into a nice size for the shadow box.
The end of your flower where you glue to secure it together was not large enough for my liking, so I got out my Creative Memories circle punch and cut circles to adhere to the base of the flower.
I let my flowers fluff out a bit.  I didn't want them tight looking from rolling.  I just found a way to hold it and let it unravel a bit.  Once I had it to where I wanted I placed a bit of hot glue to secure the outside of the flower.  I then pushed the flower up so that the base stuck out a bit and placed hot glue all over.  I then set it on the round circle I had punched out and pressed down lightly.  If you have any unglued portions just place a bit of glue.  Watch those fingers!  You might walk away with some battle marks LOL.
I used a 9x9 shadow box that I purchased at Michaels.  This is a very nice size.  They sell larger or smaller. So just make flowers and see what looks best.
I placed a gem on each of the blue flowers for the stars.  Glued down the flowers and placed the top of the shadow box on.  I then went to my Cricut and cut out Because of the Brave in white vinyl.
It looks so amazing in person..   I hope you will give the rolled flowers a try!
