Be what you want to BE

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by

Have you ever tried mirror image stamping??  I had not ... until I made this card for the So Suzy Stamp Mirror Image event.   I can see this will be a technique I will use more in the future... You definitely need a good silhouette stamp or solid image for this to work well.

Products used from So Suzy Stamps:

I first took my sun stencil and made my background.  I blended out the inks to make a more vibrant look using Tiki Torch and Orange Twist from Catherine Pooler.

I then held my breath and had Justine Hovey's YouTube video playing while I gave it a try.  Believe it or not, this was my first try.  After I did it, I said geez.. why didn't I practice on a scrap piece of paper first.  Anyways, thank goodness it turned out great the first try.

I love this technique and I'm so glad So Suzy Stamps hosted the challenge.  I love to try to things and this will be one I keep in my think tank.

This card is entered into the challenge:

Butterfly Birthday - Stamp of Approval

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by

Have you purchased your Stamp of Approval box yet??  I hear it is almost sold out.  I absolutely loved this box and yes, I was privileged to win one.

A few days back Catherine posted a butterfly card and asked what color you would make yours... Naturally, I said purple.  Then I couldn't stop thinking about it.. so I made one.  My sister in law likes purple and I needed a birthday card.. so it worked so perfect.

I used Altenew inks and the Lovely Notes Stamp of Approval.  I also used Dylusions spray to flick a bit of purple on the card.  I popped up the top layer with foam with a layer of purple behind.. It looks gorgeous in person!

Stamp of Approval - Lovely Notes collection

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by

Today I'd like to show off a few cards I have made with the newest Stamp of Approval box .    I am soooooooooo fortunate to have WON a box from a Facebook group I belong to.. I can't thank Laurel and Catherine enough!!  So grateful.  They do sell out, but to see if you can still purchase visit here.

On to the cards I have made so far.  I have had my box for 2 days now and just LOVE the cards I've made so far.

My first card is CAS (simple) ... It came together in no time at all.  I simply used Dylusions Spray and took out the nozzle and flicked.  I then Stamped Thank you (from the Stamp of Approval Box) and finished it off by stamping a butterfly onto my card.  I also stamped an entire set of the butterflies and cut these out with my Brother Scan N Cut.   I glued just the body portion of the butterfly and curled the wings upwards to make them pop away from the base.  I added a few sequins to the card and called it finished!

My 2nd card is beyond gorgeous (if I don't say so myself, LOL)  I used a combo of Rubbernecker Stamps (Wildflowers in the Wind) and the new Stamp of Approval box.  I used my Zig Clean Brush Markers for the Rubbernecker Stamps. It is a multi layer stamp and I simply colored the marker onto the stamp (while on my MISTI) and then spritzed with one or two sprays of water..

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Swing on over and grab a Stamp of Approval box.. You won't be disappointed.. so many projects you can make and the great part is.. they all work together so well.

Happy Crafting!

Stamp of Approval box - Thank you

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by

I'd love to show you a card I made using the Stamp of Approval box.  You may see it called SOA as well.  This is a box of handpicked stamps/dies by Catherine Pooler.  The release is quarterly.  This is my second box and have been blown away both times.  Items in the box are all stamps/dies from popular companies that you may know.  If you do not purchase the box, the products separately can be purchased months later.

For my card I started out with Kraft cardstock.   I purchased my kraft from Amazon, Neenah brand 80#.  I cut all of my cards to 4x5.5 inches.  I purchase the card bases at Michaels and that is the size, so it is pretty standard that I use 4x5.5.

I then took the stamp set from Gina K and versamark to the craft paper. I used the flourish stamp in this set.  I embossed with Wow! Pink Perfection.  What a gorgeous powder.  I then took a die from Reverse Confetti (not in this SOA box) and die cut my edge.   To add a little more interest in between the flourish stamps I used the tiny flower in the Enchanted Garden set from the box. I used Alabaster from Brutus Monroe.

On my base I used Thank you from SugarPea DEsigns - Enchanted Garden.  Embossing that with Brutus Monroe Alabaster powder.

Also in the box is a butterfly from SuarPea Designs.. I cut that cutie and took an embossing pen to coat the butterfly and then embossed that in Pink Perfection.

I added a few sequins and glued down the butterfly.  I absolutely love this card and the SOA box.  I am so please to have purchased the box.

I hope this sparks some creativeness!  Happy Crafting
